2. Among the resources listed you will find literally hundreds to pick from along with explanations of why they work. Your job is figure out a neuroscience-based explanation about how the illusion works and prepare a presentation for your classmates.
Be sure to, at minimum, address the following questions:
Describe your optical illusion, what do we see/not see?
Describe the neural bases of how your illusion works.
What does your optical illusion tell us about the visual system?
 
Include any other interesting information that you’d like to share about the illusion -- (e.g., a certain artist would make use of it, it is the basis of cinema, only works for some people, etc.)
3. Once your presentation is complete, click your section&#39;s column  and upload all your material as blog post. 
4. Comment on two other blog posts from your peers and reply to any comments on yours.

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>What do we see/not see?</strong></div><div>It is possible to see and identify a vase or two people facing each other in profile. <br><br><strong>Describe how your illusion works.<br></strong>If you focus on the white figure, you will see a vase, although, if you focus on the black figures, you will see two people facing each other in profile. <br><br><strong>What does your optical illusion tell us about the visual system?<br></strong>When two images are captured by our visual system and brain, and one of the images is seen as the background and one as a figure, our brain immediately used a shaping effect in which emerges from the common borders of the images captured and creates this distinction. <br>Usually, our brain classifies images according to what surrounds the figures. That creates the depth, height and etc. In the case of this optical illusion, since both counters are ambiguous (open to more than one interpretation; having a double meaning), our brain can interpret both the black or white areas as background or figure. <br><br><strong>Curiosity<br></strong>This optical illusion involves cognitive processing, so, with out prior knowledge of both figures of the two profile people and the vase, these reversible figures couldn't be alternately identified by our brain.&nbsp;<br><br><br></div><div><br></div>]]></description>
