         <description><![CDATA[<div>Pi sees that Richard Parker, though as intimidating as he is, he is a symbol of Pi himself. They both have fear installed in themselves, and although they are of different species, they use each other as company as a way to cope throughout the journey on the sea. Once realizing the necessity of having an intimidating mammal was one of the best things that could have happened, it led him to one choice: "<strong>Plan Number Seven: Keep Him Alive" (76).&nbsp; In the same way that Pi and Richard Parker view themselves as similar obstacles, the reader can do this for Pi. The suspension of disbelief allows the reader to&nbsp;envision themselves in a scenario that they have never experienced before.</strong></div>]]></description>
