Sometimes I just read without paying attention to the book and this makes me confused throughout my story. I want to stay focused for 25 minutes because I think it is a reasonable goal for me. Its something I hope to achieve and maybe It can help me understand my story more.

I extremely love my parents and fortunately I have never lost them. I cant begin to even think how horrible it would be if one of them died but in this book I get a bit on insight. In the book They are struggling financially and the mother is extremely depressed. Isaiah is getting in trouble at school because he has no way to relieve his grief. I learned that it is super hard to lose someone you love and that life after is really different.

When I was little my family was going through a tough time and I felt like I wasn't getting enough attention. I tried to make my friends laugh but to my expense the teachers didn't like me as much. I was getting bad grades because I could never focus and there wasn't a lot of time to do it at home. I can relate to how he might have felt in these moments.

Tom is getting in an argument with Gatsby because Tom doesn't know about his wife's affair with Jay. Jay is getting aggravated with Tom because he keeps on talking about him and his wife's future. This leads Gatsby to tell Tom about their whole affair and how Daisy never really loved tom, but she loved him instead. they couldn't marry though because Jay was too poor. - I could not ever relate to this point in time. I don't know how Tom felt or daisy/jay. I have never been in their situation so I cant completely feel empathy for them, on sympathy. I do understand how Daisy/Jay might feel about their relationship. They have loved each other for 5 years. Now that they are reunited, daisy falls back in love and they both decide it would be best if they kept their relationship in secret. I can understand that because I have been in similar situations. Not only do I experience sympathy, but empathy as well.

I love that this book has excruciating detail. This gives anyone whose reading this a big idea of what is really happening in the book. I think the story plot of this book is great. The characters are also amazing, I know pretty much everyone's background life (except Nick). The one thing that bothers me is that it takes a while to build up to the climax. Other wise, I would recommend this book to any adult or teenager who loves this genre and someone who likes older made books. I don't know if the story is appropriate for children but if its okay, I would just make sure a child could be interested for a long amount of time.

In the story we here from multiple different perspectives on all of the girls parents having uncomfortable and upsetting relationships. We hear this from Cheryl Bobbie-Jo, and Nora. Cheryl's dad used to hit her, Nora's parents are unhappy, and Bobbi-Jo is aware of this. I cant relate to Cheryl and Bobbi-Jo here because my parents don't have bad relationships and it isn't a struggle for me thankfully. This plays a big role in the characters files as well as mine.

The author has one main narrator(Nora) but occasionally there is a 3rd point of view. Sometimes we get to read whats in others diaries and that would be a chapter. Or we read others peoples POV in the real time of the book.

Buddy and Nora go on a drive together but shortly into their ride buddy loses control on the car and they end up in a ditch. The two end up getting close which causes Nora to feel really guilty with herself. I can relate to Nora here because I have done things that I enjoy doing in the present time but later on I don't know what to do with myself and I end up feeling bad about it. Just like here. Nora feels guilty for liking buddy when she knows that she would hurt the feelings of others around her.
