As I sat and observed this encounter I questioned if the audio is having impact on the children's play. The play encounter lasted around 15 minutes before the children became dis interested and removed themselves from the play.

whilst I believe the audio has added another layer to the children's movements and play I don't feel it was directly impacting the play as Murray Schaffer spoke in the video about listening he speaks about how we are able to chose what to listen to. whilst I believe the children are able to hear the sounds I have introduced in the encounter I believe they are sub consciously or consciousley choosing to not listen and instead creating there own sound scape with the voices as I listened the children would say things like...

"Here are the bananas" and " How much is the meat"

I believe the children the children have built a shop during this experience and have created their own dramatic play experience.

In conclusion from the words of Murray Schaffer 'sounds effect us all in different ways' (national film Board of Canada, 2009) whilst I wanted to see the affect the sound scape had on these children during this encounter I believe it has had little to know impact.

through this short story telling snippet I have been reflecting on the childrens drama through there senses they were offered a connection to placing being there kinder and then were able to created a story that was intriguing whilst connecting to there actual world. this is showing me the children's sense of belonging to community.

it amazes me the children's ability to play make believe at the flick of a switch I had to really put myself in the shoes of a child and just speak the first things that came to mind whilst supporting the children with there ideas in our story as we began I was able to continue the story by offering provocation and supporting children with there ideas.

This experience has shown be how capable children are at forming there own ideas. I will be continuing to foster this is my classroom with children and be there as a support to different ways in which we can bring the children ideas and thoughts into a physical form why can't a child be an author or an artist.

Overall as I have completed this Assignment and AT1 and AT2 a question or theme that I have continue to explore is are the temporal arts a language? Adam Wootens ted talk music as a language was such a good starting pint for me from this unit and my own reflections to really open my thinking to this idea.

I believe we all get stuck in this narrative of we aren't creative or we can't sing or can't dance. something that I have come across in my reflections is the difference between creative and artistic. When you look at the definition of them artistic refers to someone being skilled in creating something that may be visually pleasing whilst creative is someone's ability to create and invent there own original ideas.

children will so naturally be both but why is it that adults find it so difficult to be creative? We all have our own ideas, why can't we find ways to share them.

Reflections for future practices

If we want people to be creative we must offer time and resources to do so.

the importance of unhurried time to be creative.

Music, movement and drama the temporal arts are truly all around us we just need to open ourselves up to be able to listen.

In closing I want to conclude with the power of embracing one's creative thinking. Creativity is not merely a talent but a vital part of telling our story as humans. I want to keep challenging this narrative's that limit our self expression and recognise that we all have a voice and a story that is waiting to be told. through this we can truly appreciate the temporal arts as a universal language. That is able to transcend barriers and enrich our lives.

My sound, movement and drama experiences have all been inspired by this artefact.

creative response to AT2 Artifact

In the quiet cradle of my backyard, As the sun dips low and shadows embrace the landscape, I listen closely; the world breathes out, Whispers weave beneath the vast skies.

The rustle of leaves among ancient manna gum trees, A chorus of crickets begins to play, Serenading the gentle end of the day.

As birds call and sing a lullaby crafted, By nature’s own strings, each note reflects, A story of moments, both cherished and bold.

The sky, a canvas of pastel hues, Paints the horizon with twilight’s soft muse. As the birds say farewell and stars take flight, I find solace that brings peace to the night.

Here in this sanctuary, time seems to pause, Nature’s own symphony, without any flaws. I breathe in the stillness, let worries take rest; In the arms of the evening, I feel truly blessed.

As the world concludes in my tranquil retreat, I listen to echoes of life bittersweet. For every sound, there’s a story to share, A reminder of beauty, a moment to care.

So let the night wrap me in its soft cloak, with whispers of wonder where dreams gently soak. In this backyard haven, I find peace and light, As day ends, and we’re embraced by the night.
