This novel has many complex plots and it's one of the only books I've ever actually enjoyed, as I'm not a big fan of reading. It was hard for me to put this book down and I read the entire book so fast my teacher got mad at me for not reading at the instructed pace. This book has a lot of conflict, for the reasons that the characters are always dealing with some sort of issue, while trying to escape the antagonist "count olaf," whos after their inheritance of millions. This is a fiction book about giants who supposedly steal and eat people, and a little girl who was taken by one of the giants. This was the first book I read of the collection, and at the time it gave me a passion for reading. It's a picture book with many conflicts, and the book is basically a picture story with chaotic and humorous events. At the time when I read it, I had already seen the movies, and loved the image of a closet leading to another land. This book has many good plots, and an interesting story line. The novel tells the story of Mary, who discovers a hidden garden on her uncle's property and brings it back to life.
