~When excess water from rain occurs it can cause root loss. A plant can not grow without healthy roots.

~Usually minor changes in the humidity do not affect the plants very much. However whenever the humidity level is high like around 80%-100% problems can occur.

-These problems can be things such as fungal disease.

~Gravitational: Gravitational water is not able to hold against the force of gravity. It then becomes part of the ground water. It doesn't have much use to the plant because it drains away taking plant food with it.

~Capillary water: This water is held against the force of gravity. It is held in the small pores of soil. There are three different types:

-Free moving-This water can move in any direction.

-Available or field capacity-This is the water that is still there after the capillary movement stops. The roots move towards this water.

-Unavailable-This can only be held as vapor and is held tightly.
