the Russian revolution 1917 march 8 also took place later in the war and was a turning point for Russia economically and militarily. this event threw out the corrupt power in Russia political aspect (for the most part) along with a war the Russians would face an extremely hard life. the bolsheviks were in power after the civil war. this revolution ended in june 16 1923

august 4 1914 the Germans launched an invasion on belgium and took them over, this would lead to briten joining the war because Belgium was an ally of briten. this would also lead to the french joing up because of the aggressive germans.

on november 11 1918 armistance was called and the war was ended after around 40 million people died germany surrendered to the allies and wrote a treaty giving reperations and land to the allies.

this was the longest battle in world war 1 and it lasted from feburary 21 - december 18 in 1916. this battle was fought on the western front in france agianst the french and germans. after the french would be outgunned and out manned by the germans they would lose citys and fall back until they failed.

battle of galipoli

this battle in febuary 1915- january 1916 is known as the allied powers most unsuccessful attempt at gaining the upper hand against the axis powers. it was also the worlds first modern major beach landing. this was fought by british and australian and new zealand soldiers aginst the turkey or the ottomans.

united states joins the war

on April 2 1917 the united states joined the war after seeing that the Germans sent a telegraph to mexico saying that if you invade the united states we will let you keep some land there. mexico turned it over to the united states but before they did the British intercepted it and gave it to us first. after this and the many boats they sunk we joined up.
