Things i have learned from today's lesson

So 2 things that I have learned today that I kinda like is the Thinking in design. So in short I can see that we need to think before we can begin sketch or doing sm other design. I need to make a list of symbols that could related to the design, then I can quick sketch and ask the mentor or others artist about my sketch ( ex: what i need to do with them, they gonna be better if I move them to the right of left,..) after listed them down I can finish my design much more easier XD and think about the audience is a great choice tho LOL. And the second thing I like about is the progress. In many times when i design, its hard to design like a logo, or sm homework. Students to collect specific natural materials to make a basic composition.(Defining and stylizing points, lines and geometric shapes from a natural object). Then create a geometrical and organic composition in black, grey and white using pencil and paper. The size is on A3 paper. Each composition (geometrical & organic) should be done in 1 paper. Thank you everyone for uploading your work. Good start. Remember, by having the black and white composition ready this week, it will be easier for you to put colors next week; as next week we will have the deadline.

Here are more tips/ check list of what you need to have to upload for the final grading of Lab 3:
- combine geometric & organic shapes to create a composition
- combine overlapping shapes
- don't have shapes that are too small
- pay attention to originality. You can be inspired by everything around you, but make sure you put your own shapes/creation. Remember, a group of teachers will mark your grade and we will look at originality too.
- pick 1 best composition and fill with black & white and also cool and warm colors
- in black and white composition, you have to have 7 different shades of black color value, from really light to really dark
- in the warm colors, you have to create 2 options: bright warm color & dark warm colors
- in the cool colors, you have to create 2 options: bright cool color & dark cool colors

And below is the specification of the final document that you need to have for the Lab 3 grading:
- file size is 25x25 cm
- please also make an artboard that shows the process of your sketches, the final composition, and the composition in colors
- you have to have at least 8 sketches of the compositions and trace the best sketch to make a black and white & color composition.

Research materials, test different textures to create special effects that match the shape that you did in Lab 3. The real final size should be 40x 40 cm. Use physical materials that fit into your shapes that you did on lab 3. You can change and adjust the colors, the shapes and pick & test the right materials. Part of the final grade for this lab will be based on weekly progress. So please think about showing me progress. The plan has been shared, now do things that can support your plan.

What i will do next 2 weeks
- Collecting the materials( summer break) : Because most of my materials i wrote previously i need to buy it or collecting it outside, but last few days i didnt have time to go out and collect things and also some of materials i can only collect it inside the main city so i probably will spend the whole summer break to collect them as fast as possible.
- Fixing and creating the physical composition: Of course there are some shapes in my lab 3 composition that are not suitable to be in lab 4 so i will fix and erase a couple of details that i feel i cant use. Also i will only focus on the main composition at home instead of creating a smaller version of it and bring to class, which is 40x40, so i hope you dont mind if i bring the main composition into the class and you can give me some recommendations about it, like what i need to improve.

What difficulties i think i will face:
- Lack of materials: as i said i will try my best to collect all the materials by the time we meet again after summer break, but maybe some of materials i may not have it in time due to multiple reasons(late delivery, no place sells them or none of my familiar people have them,.......)
- Composition problem: i'm afraid that during the progress i create the composition i may make the shapes not same to the shapes i made in lab3, so thats why i quite worry bout it,.......

i want to use brown wool for the dark background , dark red and yellow glossy paper will be used for the mushroom and the straws i will use for the stem and colored paper i will use for the leaves , the rope i will use for the stone.

I am in the process of collecting materials. I now have nylon for the background, some pearls or foam for the fish bubbles, rubber bands for the rock base, yarn wool, rope for seaweed, colored paper and some small materials.

Once I've gathered enough materials, I'll start working on it.

The biggest difficulty is arranging the materials according to the layout of lab 3 on the work properly.

I'm sorry for not bringing anything for lab 4 today, the reason is that I don't have time for thinking about what exactly suitable materials for good quality of this assignment. I think the dificulties are materials and the time I need to do this lab successully. About the first one, I know that I can find materials from anywhere but I don't really know what exactly suitable for my work, I scare if it's not suitable I need to change it one more times and we all just have 2 final weeks for doing it, and I need to manage the time for doing this lab.
