Mod 1- Management Overview

Performance management is the systematic process by which an agency involves its employees, as individuals and members of a group, in improving organizational effectiveness in the accomplishment of agency mission and goals.

Employee performance management includes:

planning work and setting expectations,
continually monitoring performance,
developing the capacity to perform,
periodically rating performance in a summary fashion, and
rewarding good performance.

During Mod 1- I began a journey with the EEOC. It had been about 1 full year since I filed my complaint against a company and I was finally starting to heart back from them. I applied a lot of what I learned throughout this class for the company to start implementing in their managerial training.

It is an important function because it helps to check the errors and to take the corrective action so that deviation from standards are minimized and stated goals of the organization are achieved in a desired manner
