When I was a kid , I used to play games at the garden climbing trees ,playing hide and seek , 7 stones etc. and also at summer I used to go to the mango tree to pluck the mangoes unidentified.Resting under the trees , all of these was very fun for a village residential.

Lohikrishnan,
AM.EN.U4CSE18332

Namah Shivaya!
Myself being a village resident I would like to share my experience of life . The place I reside is karamadai which is actually in the foothills of Ooty also known as the Nilgiris and is about 30kms in the outskirts of coimbatore. The name of the village originated from the combination of terms karai(Tree) and madai (water streams) gives the general idea of how greenish a village can be.
Agriculture being the main occupation, this village is mostly known for its cultivation of huge amount of banana plantations and curryleaves. And as the climate being so consistent in its moderate temperature thourghout the year it doesn't provide any difficulties for agriculture in here. The spectacular scenery of the entire nilgiris mountain range can be seen which gives a oppourtunity to start a day with blissful sunrise and finish it with a blissful dusk. Ranganathaswamy temple

being the main source of tourist attraction is a wealth of the village. And also karamadai is regarded as the clothing hub of coimbatore.
So for me this place on earth is a little heaven that one could possibly experience in real life.

The main attraction of our village is Mata Amritanandhamayi Math were the people from nook and corner of the world progress together. Three fourth of our village is occupied by water. There is nothing beautiful than the way ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline,no matter how many times it's sent away. Its a paradise to escape from all the sorrows and sit quietly on the beach side. The beauty of our village does not end with ocean,it continues to lakes, ponds, paddy fields .We are having a moderate climate here. Our village is rich in cultural diversity and various types of festivals and rituals are conducted year by year.
Major occupation of our common layman is agriculture and fishing.Last but not the least my college (Amrita School of Biotechnology)is situated
in my own village, Clappana and i am proud of it.

Thats way my village was named as thamarakulam.
SASTHAMOOTA LAKE, the largest fresh water lake in Kerala passing through my village. Most commonly say this lake play an important role in our village development. The purity of the lake water for drinking use is attributed to the presence of large population of larva called cavaborus that consumes bacteria in the lake water.it also providing fishing resources and some tourism program are invented belongs to it. A full of paddy field surronding in my house ,and so many temple are located here.

Jhansi Ravipati

I visit my grand parents village every long holiday. It is a straight village with around 600 houses. This village has PHC, temples, schools, banks, post office, government offices etc. Most of the people in this village lives on work related to agriculture. Every house has its own garden area where they cultivate fruits, vegetables and many flowering plants. Ponds filled with Lotus are found here and there in this village. Cattle rearing and dairies are also common here. I feel very pleasant and soothing there. I've lot of friends there. They sleep and gets up early. I will also be active by village's climate. In the evenings all of the neighbours sit together and talk. Dussera festival is celebrated every year there, in which all the people together makes arrangements and pooja to goddess like a whole big family. Every time I'm leaving this village after spending few days not only fill me joy but also freshens my soul.. I don't feel like going back from there.
The way villagers stay together is really amazing.
Generally, villages have the large portion covered with crops, trees and water. So. it looks green, blue and mud here and there. Villages are always calm. Because of low noises and pollution, we can find varieties of regional flora and fauna. Most of the villagers live on Agriculture, cottage industry etc.,
An average sized these days constitutes of 500-1000 houses, temples of various religions. a primary, middle and high schools, a post office, a PHC, and some small shops and small government offices etc.
Agriculture land comprises almost hay of the village area.
