I came across the DOME 180 PENDANT designed by Bover Barcelona Lights, which is made out of hundreds of different wooden pieces fit together like a puzzle. The light source is an LED light from the top which creates intricate shadows. The overall shape would be like a beehive, either a dome shape or a rounded rhombus like shape. The hexagon shape, either just on the base or throughout the entire light, will have a star shape in the center.

The second iteration is the same hexagonal shapes and spiral rotation expect the shapes are hollowed out. The two largest base hexagons have a star and a smaller hexagon in the center (picture 6 in Design). So making this project took a lot of trial and error and testing different tools to see what worked best for what I wanted. I used the scale tool to decrease the size of the hexagons which also decreased the thickness/ height of the individual hexagons which I didn't realize at first which I would have liked to change (in the third iteration).
