Geisha are a type of art because they do special dancing and they entertain people. 
Geisha are traditional female entertainers in Japan.
They are talented at different Japanese arts, such as playing classical Japanese music, dancing, and poetry.
Apprentice Geisha are called “Maiko” “Mai” means dancing, “Ko” means child.
Maiko Geisha wear white makeup and a brightly coloured Kimono.
Full Geisha wear simpler Kimonos and only wear white makeup for special occasions.
