Penelope is a toy designed by students that uses integrated pressure sensors to allow children to express their source and level of pain through play. Students equipped Penelope with an additional “Fun” mode to provide a distraction from pain and anxiety. This is a good product because it allows students who struggle with pain or anxiety and spend a lot of time fighting their discomfort instead sort of embrace it in a healthy way.
