Riordan, Rick. The House of Hades. Disney- Hyperion Books, 2013. I have read 50 pages so far. The book starts off with the Argo 2, a Greek war ship that Leo Valdez built, being attacked by Roman mountain gods. The ship is headed to the opening of the house of Hades or in other words the doors of death to save Percy and Annabeth. Percy and Annabeth are basically in hell, and they are trying to make their way to the doors of death so they can escape. But they are having some trouble. The Argo 2 which has Leo Valdez, Hazel Levesque, and a satyr on it is constantly being attacked by roman enemies so they don't reach the doors of death. Percy and Annabeth are slowly dying in hell because of the poisonous air. Riordan uses quite a few Greek and Roman terms because this book is revolved around the Greeks and Romans. Riordan also uses detailed sentences because there is a lot of action that goes on throughout the book.
