Positive aspects: I could do the things that I had planned although I had two interruptions. I didn’t have technical problems. Despite the fact that the students couldn’t understand the whole story, some of them asked some questions, they participated and I made sure that they all did the exercise. Some students didn’t have their folders but I tried to make them stick the copies anyway. I lent them my glue because some students didn’t have their pencil cases. One of the girls got gum stuck on her hair, and I tried to help her, but then Patricia stood up and handled the issue because the girl didn’t want to cut off that part of her hair. Some parts of the following project will be modified, so that the students don’t get frustrated because the activities are too demanding.

When the lesson started, some students refused to read, so the activity took a little more time than I had expected. I could explain the warm up, I asked some students to explain the activity again and I asked some others if they agreed. They started working and when the alarm rang they came to the board. Some students didn´t want to participate, and they refused several times. During the lesson two groups of children were very talkative, and when I commanded Donato to change seats, he refused. 

Anyway, they could do the first exercise (5a) on page 47 and we checked by asking some students and the others agreed or disagreed. I asked them to justify their answers and they were assertive. As some students had finished and they started working on exercise 5b by themselves, I told some others that they could continue working on exercise 5 b, but then I thought that we could correct that exercise next class, by playing a game. So, next in my lesson plan there will be a game as a warm up, and I will make groups at random, to see if they can get more engaged in class. 

The lesson started a bit later because the students came into the classroom late. I could explain the task and the students made silence during the explanation. They took the paper from the bag, but then they changed seats very slowly. The exercise was difficult for them. I think it was because they had to choose on their own whether it was the negative or the affirmative form. However, I wrote the first sentence as an example, and then they managed to complete it. The activity took more time than   I had expected. Some students came to the blackboard to write the sentences and the task was corrected. I collected the exercise to force them to finish, because despite the fact that the alarm had rung, some of them weren't working. I'll work on CSE next class.

After they had finished, I made them copy the note for the exam next class, because the notes that I had printed had an arranged date and it had to be changed again. The bell rang, so I couldn’t correct the exam with the students, so I will change the activity that was too difficult for them to understand. I told them to study for next class and to remember and bring their complete pencil cases. 

The final task planned could not take place because of some days lost by holidays and the storytelling.
