In 1879, explorer Alexander Forrest crossed the region but found the soils too arid and desert to implant any breeding. According to the legend the three rocks were three beautiful sisters who fell in love with three young men from another tribe but, they were forbidden to marry so the brothers decided to capture the three sisters.Then a war resulted from this incident and an elder changed the sisters into stones to protect them.
