Over time alcohol has been used for many things such as medical purposes, stress relief, frustration and anxiety. However alcohol can mess with people causing them to not function correctly and can cause addiction.

QUESTION 2: Alcohol has been economically important for many years. The reason why is because Alcohol is one of the most sold beverages in America.

Tea is a beverage that is economically important. The British demand for tea led to the establishment of trade routes across the world and played a part in the conflicts that occurred between the indigenous populations and colonial powers. An example is how strict trade laws with China has negative effects on the British economy as many sought to obtain tea but were unable to. Eventually this was one reason for the opium wars between GB and China which in turn led to hostile attitudes among the Chinese against many of the western powers who they believed had exploited them for their own profit. This hostility is a factor in how China would later structure their foreign policy in modern times.
