Here are three things I loved about the book:

1. The book has set up good definition of community. Scrooge's community was so celebrating, infused with happiness during Christmas but Scrooge was not was so open to the community and was giving cold shoulder to the passers-by, we should not be like Scrooge. We should celebrate good times together and confront difficulties together. Humans have the tendency to socialize and the capability to stand for each other.

2. We usually give Angel's the tag of positivity but the book proves us wrong here ! and put emphasis on making us look from a different perspective by mentioning 'The GHOST of Present , Past ,and future.' Ghosts are not always negative but they can hold positivity too like the ghosts in the story . At times we need to change our perspective.(everything has two faces).

3. The book conveys moral in every scene like with the help of Scrooge it tells you to have good behaviour and actions. Whatever we do, we should think upon it , as our actions will shape us and our future and decide if we will appreciate our past selves or not. ( Whatever we give others, ultimately we receive that too !)

Here is one think I did not like about the book:

Overall the book was very inspiring and full of morals but I suppose, I would have liked to have more information on the background of Scrooge as to understand why he used to behave rudely and give cold shoulder to the passers-by and his nephew. It would have helped me to grasp the psychology of the character.

My favourite characters were the three Ghosts because I liked the way they instill Christmas spirit in a miser and heartless Scrooge and I want to do the same , help people who have lost their track by heading them towards the good. I believe if ghosts have the power to impact people's mind then we humans surely have the power to show right path to others and ourselves.

What I learnt from the book is that Christmas or let it be any other festival , is not only about going to churches or temples or performing religious practices ( absolutely these are part of festivals) but festivals are much more beyond these things. Festivals brings opportunity to connect with the people whom we have not connected since years. It gives us a platform to build strong bonds with each other. The utmost objective of any festival is to share love , compassion, keeping 'humanity as the priority'. Such occasions are organised to strengthen our beliefs and grow together. Believing in ourselves, in the supreme, others gives us power and creates a better survival.

We can correct our mistakes and head towards self - improvement.

Lastly , Money is just a medium to achieve our goals ( not priority)but ultimately one wants peace and satisfaction and happiness which can be attained by proper knowledge and love.

The essence of festivals is in joy, togetherness :)
