2) As shown within the images, these spaces all depict the different ways that enclosed spaces are decorated and utilized. Although these spaces serve(d) various purposes, they share multiple architectural similarities. Within all these spaces, arches and columns are employed throughout, in addition to the large open spaces between the walls. Through these structures designs, it is evident that these spaces were meant to be repeatedly utilized. All five images were seemingly taken from far away (the other side of the enclosed space), demonstrating the vastness of the open space for the purpose of human activity. Although these structures originate from vastly different cultures and time periods, I believe they illustrate the innate need to decorate and 'beautify' commonly used spaces. Furthermore, despite these aforementioned differences, the fundamental architectural components persists (columns, arches, open space); while each culture additionally imposes their unique cultural expression onto these components.
