The Peak District National Park offers diverse learning and recreational activities for visitors of all ages. Walking, rock climbing and cycling are a few of activities that can be enjoyed in the national park. It is a good place to learn about the outdoors, and to have a good time with your friends or family! There are around 1000 farmstay registered properties to stay at to enjoy more about nature life.
The Peak District is really easy to reach thanks to buses connecting the centre of Sheffield to many parts of the park.
We explored the area around Fox House in the east of the Peak District. You can reach this part with the Bus 272 from the Sheffield Interchange bus stop in the heart of Sheffield. The bus only takes around 25 minutes. Typical for this area are the wide fields of Heather, tall steep rocks and small streams. Afterwards it is a good possibility to enjoy a hot chocolate or a beer in the fox house.
