This poem is about how life pushes you through places you don’t want to go. It makes you feel lost, sad, and an emotion I can’t really put a name on. But even when everything changes, your world turns up side down, the person you truly are stays the same inside. In the end, you learn that those hard moments didn’t break you, (sure they left some scars) but they shape you and make you stronger.

For Mr. Martin’s English 10 class, I was assigned a Choice Essay in which I had to select one of four prompts. I chose to write a Descriptive Essay, and the prompt I selected is included below. It asks me to imagine writing to an alien who understands English and to describe, in vivid sensory detail, one aspect of American culture—such as football, television, a favorite holiday, or any cultural practice of my choosing, while keeping in mind that the alien has never been to Earth.

This Luven Saffire (Guardian) Axolotl, and this is basically him in his cursed/monster uncontrollable form, he gains wings, huge claws, blue rings (since his old evil evil master was part blue ring octopus and set the curse on him) and diamonds coming out. Overall, hes quite miserable in this state!-

This essay goes over the problems with the expansion of AI. The effects on everyday life caused by AI data centes are incredibly concerning, with issues regarding water, land, and power. This work aslo goes over counterclaims regarding AI data centers.

I chose to research the health effects of microplastics on the human body because I'm interested in the field of biomedical engineering. For my English 10 Research Essay (Mr. Martin's Class), I explored what current studies reveal about how microplastics enter our systems and what they might be doing once they’re there. I’m excited to share my work with the whole school and hope it inspires others to learn more about microplastic pollution and the future of human health!

This submission highlights sustainability efforts contributed by multiple students and teachers in Environmental Club, including Mr. Olderstein, Mrs. Pattillo, Kaiyah P., Journey W., and Jazeel M. Together, we worked on small but meaningful actions such as reducing energy use by unplugging devices and minimizing waste through reduced disposable napkin use. These collective efforts reflect a shared commitment to building more environmentally responsible habits within our school community.
