I asked him to join us and do the work on his whiteboard, but he continued to not do it. After a moment when I gave the class another task to work on I pulled him aside and asked him if he needed a break, wanted to talk, or etc. He said no, he was fine. I told him if he needed I would let him have it. I continued with the lesson/fluency activities and he started joining.

We moved him to another one and he is much happier.  He was missing school and having stomach aches.
