I thought the idea of using kahoot to create quizzes for the senior room was excellent and lent itself especially well to SESE topics. I also thought that Padlet was an excellent tool to use for brainstorming before a topic it would allow the teacher to see where each child is coming from as a basis for progression and also allows them to return at the end and record their personal learning experience.

Often these children can type with greater ease and they are more enthusiastic about using computers than pen and paper. The fact that they can have aids and prompts to hand that can be individually tailored to their needs also improves their confidence when tackling a piece of writing. As a teacher in rural Ireland this is not always the case.

In September I will definitely start using google docs, britanica school, edmodo and kahoot with my class as I can see how they would improve learning for he children and make assessing the children in my mixed senior class much easier for me.

I will get the 6th class in my room involved in the school blog as this would give them a great sense of achievment.
