         <description><![CDATA[<div>The idea of a separate southern vocabulary originated from the Civil War era where the Confederate slave states separated from the northern Union.  This then led to a divide in culture and beliefs, which would spread to things such as language.  This continues to exist today as those who are from the former Confederate are considered to have a southern accent.</div>]]></description>
