Goals vs. Daydreams

A daydream isn’t always realistic and includes things such as a professional award, a best-selling novel, etc.

A goal is a plan with an explicit structure, with objectives that are clearly defined, steps that will lead you to towards this goal, time frames, resources, and a goal line.

Feeling Good vs. Feeling Good about yourself

  • Feeling good is a more short-term basis
  • Working on a complex project and completing it will allow you to feel good about yourself and your accomplishments in the long term

  • Pay more attention to details
  • Don’t inflate past accomplishments or downgrade past failures; be realistic
  • 5 W’s and 1 H
  • Lack of attention to details is weakness, creativity is strength

Use words like “I will” and “I am” instead of words like “I wish” and “I’ll try.”
Use specific time frames
Write down plans for your actions
Use a calendar to keep track of your daily responsibilities
Be proactive, don’t wait for opportunities
Get physically active
Be more interactive with others
