A model is a display of something that is easier to access. It is less messy and less expensive, and it's easier to move it. The limitations are that its often note to scale and you can't feel, taste, hear, or smell the object the same way you would if it's the real thing.

Example- say someone wanted to see the vital organs of the human body, well, they couldn't just cut some one open, could they? Well, if they did, then it would be quite messy, so if you wanted to see the vital organs of a human body, then I suggest using a model.
