The egg in the ice was harder to peel and more flimsy and more of a pale yellow.

The egg on the left was cooled in the ice water whereas the egg on the right was left in the warm water. The eggs smell the same from what I can tell and I didn't have difficulty peeling either one. Looking at the yolks, the right (warm) one is more hard/crumbly/spongey which is seen by the cracks in it while the left (cold) one the yolk is more together/dense.

The egg to the left is the ice bath boiled egg. It smells slightly sour and has a brighter yellow color than the hot water boiled egg. The egg on the right is the hot water boiled egg. It was very easy to peel, much easier than the ice bath egg, and smells like a normal hard boiled egg. It is more cracked and has some discoloring because of the heat. My dog liked both of them equally.

The egg that smelt the most was the egg left in the hot water, it also was harder to crack. Whereas the egg that sat in the ice water did not smell as bad, but was easier to peel.

Now, to start, I think the only logical way to go quantify each egg is by how much I would want to eat each egg. The egg featured to my left is the one that sat in the old water and looks vastly un-appetizing. The egg yolk on the left is falling out of the egg white, making for a very yoke filled bit where you really are going to struggle to eat much egg white into your bite. And, while sampling the very yolk of the cold egg, it tasted raw and thick. It was not an enjoyable hard-boiled egg to eat as I got very little the egg white in my bite to mask out the flavor of the very overpowering yolk. But, I would commend this egg for giving off very little smell. Yet, one of the fatal flaws of this egg on the left was the real chore of peeling the egg. Why would I want to spend all that time peeling an egg that is in the cold water, and then find a piece of eggshell in my bite because the shell was so hard to take off? The egg on the right was the winner, the yolk, fashioned with a very nice gray gave more of a cooked taste and didn't fall out of the yolk. The eggwhite to yolk percentages was on point with the bit I took of this egg. And best of all, it was so easy to peel off and it came off in bigger pieces which decrease the risk of finding a piece of eggshell in my bite. Yet, this egg does have a fatal flaw as this egg has a sulfur smell. So, the hot egg does pass the vibe test while the cold one really does not. But don't you even think for one second that both eggs didn't get eaten by me.....
