The roman empire lasted 503 years from 27BC-476AD. One of the main languages spoken was Latin and some of the main regions were Macedonia, Cyprus, Crete Achaia, Thessalonica and some of the main cities were Rome, Alexandria, Antioch, Carthage, Ephesus. The different ethnic groups where the Latins, Greeks, goths, Serbians, Albian’s, Aromanians, and people and goods were transported using boats, animals and walking. The romans were very inclusive of different religions and most people believed in polytheistic religions.

This is a significant time in history as if Paul hadn’t converted Christianity wouldn't be as big as a community as it is today.

Some of the situations that he gave advice on was when the church was in denial because people were all saying there are different ways to become Christian and he sent a letter stating what the way that Jesus said it should be although after sending this letter he got lots of personal attacks he then he sent another letter stating that Jesus’ death and resurrection was the centre of their faith. Paul then told them that they didn't have to be circumcised and all they had to do was to love God and Jesus. This was a cultural challenge for Paul as people were getting angry and shaming him for saying that they didn't have to get circumcised. He said this not to say that no one had to be circumcised but Christians didn't have to as it was Jewish law not Christian.
