         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>&nbsp;Strategies for citing evidence in all areas was discussed.</li><li>There was not enough planning time.&nbsp; It was cut short when anxiety due to overload was detected.</li><li>This afternoon, team will work on On-line ELA, specifically constructed student responses and grouping of students.</li><li>There is a need for more ELA curriculum training.&nbsp; There is still a great divide in ability and understanding of curriculum within the grade level as&nbsp; a whole.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>They focused on citing sources, looking at graphic organizers,&nbsp; blended learning, and what that may look like was discussed.&nbsp;</li><li>Also shared was the idea to teach students G.O. so that they can teach to internalization.&nbsp;</li><li>There was limited tim spent on unit resources and assessment.</li><li>This afternoon they will plan and rethink how they are doing some things/ &nbsp;</li><li>They are still fuzzy on how to do small group and want immediate take away strategies.&nbsp;</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>They spent time on assessment adjustments, constructed responses, citing evidence, and comparing text. &nbsp;</li><li>Oneidea tht they will all do is RACER, a G.O. to teach respones for internalization.</li><li>Time was well spent&nbsp; and it helped give a bigger pespective to things. The strategies identified will provide more consistent structure.</li><li>This afternoon&nbsp;they will look at ELA planning for the next couple of weeks.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Reading comprehension, and strategies to model it, teach it, and tie it to reading and writing was discussed. &nbsp;</li><li>Levels of questioning and creating opportunites for deeper levels of thinking were discussed. &nbsp;</li><li>There us still no consensus on pacing and essential items to teach.&nbsp; There is little consistency as too benchmark and its assessments.</li><li>Time to plan using the ELA and experience with the curriculum is needed.&nbsp; There were ideas shared, but no comittemnt to act.</li><li>This afternoon, time will be spent on identifying what is most important.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><ul><li>They tried to backwards map.&nbsp; What they discovered is that they cannot delete anything.&nbsp; All are essential.&nbsp;</li><li>After discussing assesmsnt, they reached consensus- one HES is not happy with- that all unit assessments will focus on listening comprehension- not reading comprehension until unit 5-6.</li><li>Teachers got their iRead accounts.</li></ul>]]></description>
