My name is Victoria Collins! I was born in San Antonio, Texas and moved to Arkansas at the age of 4 with my mom, dad, and my 2 younger sisters. Growing up, I often felt like I wasn't "good" at school and sometimes like i didn't belong. One of the main reasons I had decided to become a teacher, is to ensure that every child feels a sense of belonging in school and as if they can achieve anything they put their minds to!

My college major is English Literature with a focus in Creative Writing. I love to read and write and want to be able to have a job that focuses on self expression and creating! Since coming to the University of Arkansas, I have met some amazing people who have changed the way I look at myself, and at education. Being only a sophomore, I know there's still so much more to come and I cant wait to grow more each year!

Creativity and self expression are very important to me and I think there are so many fun and creative ways to allow your true self to come to the surface, it just takes the courage to pull it from inside. Some ways I like to express myself are through painting, writing poetry, reading and annotating different books based on my interpretation, and analyzing different films! What are some ways YOU like to express yourself?
