Asseryia is the next dominate culture of they area after Babalon is taken over.</p><p><br/></p><p>Lion hunt, relief from Nineveh</p><ul><li><p>Student presentation</p><ul><li><p>The king is shooting the lions.which seemed to be resuved for the king.</p></li><li><p>It is a relief. Carving was not sure about the tools but assumed it about the same as ours today.</p></li><li><p>The lions have lots of movement and seem very tragic</p><ul><li><p>Compared to the king and his stiff clean look. It shows how he is not scared of these mighty beasts.</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Also shows how cruel and harsh these people where.</p></li></ul></li></ul><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

Likely representing the volcanic soil of the island. With painted black swirls throughout.</p></li><li><p>It depicts swallows flying around blooming lilies/lotus.</p></li><li><p>Wet fresco teknik&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Calligraphic lines</p></li><li><p>abstractive.</p></li></ul><p>Contextual&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>It is the first known example of a pure landscape painting</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>From the reading it also says that there is “good evidence for contact between Minoan artists and Egypt.”&nbsp;</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>This coupled with that love of nature may have influenced the iconography (symbolism) of this painting with regards to the lilies/lotus.&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>In Egypt lilies are a symbol of the sun and a sign of rebirth. They seem to be used to communicate the time of new life in spring.</p></li></ul></li></ul><p>Methodology</p><ul><li><p>The Minoans seem to have depictions of nature as some of their primary subjects.</p></li><li><p>This shows that they had a great love and respect for the land and ocean around them.</p><ul><li><p>That could be the message of this painting. The image contains no humans or any narrative element; its purpose is to convey a feeling of spring time or their worship/respect of nature.</p></li></ul></li></ul>]]></description>

It seems to spread evenly over europe.&nbsp;</p><p>Styles include pointed arches, flying<em> </em>buttresses and Windows all being used together</p><p>Birthed in sandany france</p><p><br>the Abbey Church of St. Denis is a beautiful example of early gothic arcetecture as it has many widows with pointed arches. as well as esposed ribbing in the cieling and has a very heave look because of the amount stone used in it's building.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Italian Gothic

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Italian gothic- very conservative with this style as they like to stick with their classicism. Often called the prodo-renisaise. </p><p>I feel like the Nicola Pisano, Pulpit from the baptistry shows this. It has the arches and subject matter of the gothic style, however, there are stronger themes of classical art scattered throughout it; such as the rounded arches and natural dreapery.</p>]]></description>
