chief superintendent - makes sure that the superintendents are doing their job correctly.
assistant chief constable - in charge of specialist units.
deputy chief constable - ensures that all lower ranks are doing their job correctly.

Dany Cotton has a lot to be praised for due to her actions, skills and personal qualities on the day of the Grenfell disaster as she was commander for the fire service throughout the whole situation from start to end and she did an excellent job of maintaining order and keeping everyone involved as calm and controlled as was possible given the situation at hand. All of her key qualities as a commander shone that day including, trust, loyalty, discipline, moral, respect & especially motivation as she managed to have the whole fire service running in and out of the building saving the lives of others while putting their own lives at risk and there was not one fire fighter casualty that day. That shows incredible motivation and morale on her behalf to keep her whole service motivated enough to keep repeatedly running in and out of the building for 24 hours solid. it also shows how much trust, respect and loyalty her team has in her as they continued to do what they were told without question because they knew that Dany knew what she was doing and they had major confidence in the fact that she was going to get the situation under control. Furthermore, this also shows the amount of discipline that Dany's team have as there was no second thought when they were getting told to run in and out of the burning blaze, there was no hesitation from any member of the team in doing so. all of these key skills will massively motivate a team to do what they are told, even in the worst of situations as these skills build up a massive sense of confidence and faith throughout the team towards their commander. this is why they are commander in the first place because they have this unique set of skills and they know how to put them to use appropriately. ]]> 2018-05-22 11:19:17 UTC https://padlet.com/lucas_daglish/1i81h0ztgfsr/wish/262638322 lucas_daglish https://padlet.com/lucas_daglish/1i81h0ztgfsr/wish/262975979 The main technical skill that the fire fighters used on the day of Grenfell was search and rescue as they were constantly in and out of the building looking for survivors or trapped civilians and carrying them out the building to safety.
The main specialist skill that was used by he fire fighters at Grenfell was medical response because as they were running into the building and finding trapped civilians they were then giving their own gas masks to the injured civilians that they had rescued from within the building in order for them breathe properly.
The main qualities that were needed by the fire service on that day were, trust, because each fire fighter needed to be able to trust each other and have confidence in the person next to them, they also needed to be able to trust that their commander knew what she was doing. Loyalty was also another key quality that was required that day because the fire fighters need to have a massive amount of loyalty and respect for their commander in order to have been entering that building constantly without question. Another key quality is motivation because if the commander cant motivate their team then the job will not get done as people will not have the motivation to do it therefore resulting in de-motivation. the fire fighters on the day of Grenfell were very well motivated as they were constantly in and out of Grenfell for hours on end doing their job to the best of their ability. 

Grenfell Tower was a disaster that occurred in London on the 14th June 2017. The disaster was caused due to a fire that was started from a hot point fridge freezer in flat number 16, the fire then spread throughout the entire building via the exterior cladding on the building.
