Silas likes going hunting and is the quiet type, which gave Zoey's school the impression that he's the shooter. These assumptions negatively affected Zoey and Silas' friendship as well as their experience at school. This book is realistic fiction, which means the conflicts in the book can very much happen in the real world, the effects of assumptions and impressions can really negatively affect someone.
