    - the disney movie came out in 1950, it's been around for 72 years. 
    • - the original ending of Cinderella was meant to be gruesome with Cinderella killing her evil stepmother and her step siblings cutting of half their feet so that it’d fit in the shoe 
    -the glass slipper wasn’t always meant to be glass.
    - the disney movie “Cinderella” saved Walt Disney 
    -Cinderella is the oldest disney princess  


    1. Describe the characters' attitude and appearance according to the original story line. 
      In the original story written by The Brothers Grimm the ending was dark and gruesome.
    Firstly, Cinderella's wish came from a tree growing on her mother’s grave. Her dad isn’t absent in fact he is purposefully ignoring his daughter and turning a blind eye to her suffering. The slippers are made out of gold not glass and when the prince comes to test the stepsisters feet for size, one of them cuts off her own toes to try to make the shoe fit. In the end, Cinderella ends up marrying the prince, her stepsisters serve her as her bridesmaid and doves peck their eyes out during the ceremony.

      No Cinderella is an original story

    There has been many and many alternate stories/films depicting Cinderella

    It was recorded as a moral ‘stranger danger’ tale by a 17th century French author.
    • Little red riding hood's real name is Blanchette 
    • The story became a folktale.
    • It originated around the middle east and europe
    • It was the first story of the “fairy tale genre”

    3.Describe the characters' attitude and appearance according to the original story line. 
    The story's protagonist, Little Red Riding Hood, is depicted as a really charming young child. Everyone she encounters likes her, especially her grandmother. She also has a tendency to be overly trusting of others and naive, which gets her into a lot of problems.

    No, the story is traced from european origins with no other interpretations or similarities

    Yes, 58 of them all for different age groups or genres for different purposes

    • The film is a german story
    • There are many versions of rapunzel 
    • She was rescued by a prince and then they got married

    1. Describe the characters' attitude and appearance according to the original story line. - The witch was portrayed as a “vain” old woman who was eternally young and beautiful. She was often depicted as an overprotective mother, who defended her daughter from the outside world’s savagery.



    2. Did your character come from a different story? (not their own story? e.g Black Widows story is actually from Wonder Woman's original story) 
    The evil witch from Rapunzel is from an original story but there are many variations to that story, for example the film is different from the original story as in the original story a prince saves Rapunzel but in the disney film a criminal comes and saves her which leads them getting married.



    1. Are there any alternate stories/ films to your character? 
    There are witches in other movies such as The addams family, mirror mirror, hocus pocus, roald dahl books and many more.
