I teach English courses at College of the Siskiyous. I mostly teach College Composition, but I also teach literature courses. This semester, I am teaching a World Literature, which is exciting for me. My special moments this winter were definitely when I was back country skiing on Mt Shasta. I’m very new to this sport. I bought my own gear last Fall at the Ski swap and I love that I can escape up to the mountain for an afternoon of cross-country skiing and it’s pretty much free and so fun. The other special moment was when I adopted my new dog! She’s a sweetheart and is keeping me well exercised. This is her 4th home in her short 1year old life, so I’m hoping to make this her forever home! Those are the highlights of my winter so far!

My name is Jessica Bradley and I’m from Mount Shasta. I’m majoring in Psychology but I am really interested in Administration of Justice so that might change soon. I enjoy being outdoors and exploring our area but this winter I've been spending more time at home than usual, and it's been a time of self-reflection for me. 
My favorite moment this winter was during the first storm Mount Shasta was hit with a few weeks ago. I was standing outside in the middle of my street at night while it snowed, and it was so quiet. It was a true moment of peace that I really needed.

One of my favorite moments was taking a week off during the holidays and just being able to slow down and spend some time with my family.  We have 2 children, I have a 20 year old son and my boyfriend has a 9 year old daughter!  Spending time with them is my favorite thing to do!  I chose this photo because it really shows who we are; a couple of goof balls!  There is never a dull moment in our household and that's the way we like it!  This picture was taken in October 2019 when we were in line for The Dreams of Darkness haunted house down in Redding. My name is Grace Bradley and I am from Mt. Shasta, California. I grew up in Ferndale, California and moved here in 2013. I am 16 years old and graduating high school a year early. I currently work at Mt. Shasta Ski Park as a ski instructor and I love it. It's the most rewarding job I've had so far. My favorite memory from this last winter break was being able to ski and work almost every day. I was also able to spend some much needed time with my family. The break gave me some time to relax and not worry about anything for a couple of weeks which was very enjoyable because I have a very full class load. I am hoping to major in Biology here at COS, and after I get my associates I plan to transfer to the University of Victoria in Canada. I am excited to graduate high school so I can finally have some power over what I do with my time. I am glad to be taking this class because it is one of the last classes I have to take before I graduate. Hello,

My name is Aubrey, I'm 28 years old and nervously excited for this semester. My biggest accomplishment this winter was attending my first college class and passing it with an A! I am currently in quarantine from direct contact with multiple friends that, sadly, are Covid-19 positive. I am taking it easy and monitoring my own symptoms closely. I have decided to embrace this time to balance my inner  peace, self-love and fine tune my faith. It helps me keep my focus off of the  uncertainty, chaos, and fear that have a way of lingering to long if unchecked. I am so happy to be able to attend classes from home and still be progressing towards my dreams of obtaining my Degree in Business Administration. Life has given me a few more lemons than usual as of late, I'm just glad I've always been open to the wide variety of ways lemons can be utilized. Thanks for reading and I wish you all the best!
