She probably was also upset about his mom and that why she knocked down the last thing standing. She had to have known that he didn't mean to do it and that he was just not himself. I didn't know that Conor was actually the monster and that he was doing all of the damage on his own. I think his fourth tale that he's going to tell about is going to be about how he's afraid to be alone in darkness. And maybe about his mom dying and then being alone. He had to move or at least was told that he had to move with is grandmother which he didn't like. He needed to be nice to her and get use to living and being around her. All Conor wanted to do at this time was to go back to living his normal life with his mom but could, just like things couldn't happen in the story the monster told. The second tale connected to what was happening to Coner because one part was how the people were use to what they did everyday. And this connects to how Conor was use to doing mostly everything for himself everyday because his mom couldn't. Also how his mom at the time was looking for other medicines and in the story it talked about people doing the same. It was also how Conor just wanted his mom to get better the same as the person in the story wanted to the daughters to get better. Conor also did the same as the person in the story because he begged the monster to make his mom better and the person in the story begged someone too. And the third tale connects to what happened to Conor because it was about how Conor was invisible to other people. Harry agreed to not see Conor anymore and Conor at first was happy about it, but later realized that he didn't want that. He got very anger and so did the person in the story that he couldn't be seen. He got to anger that he beat up Harry for sticking to the agreement and pretending not to see him.
