What it was for: The compound microscope used multiple lenses to magnify tiny objects invisible to the naked eye, opening up the world of microorganisms and cellular structures.Positive impact: It revolutionized scientific understanding by allowing observation of cells, bacteria, and microscopic structures. This led to advances in biology, medicine, and material science that continue today. The losers: Traditional natural philosophers who rejected empirical evidence in favor of ancient texts saw their authority diminished. Some religious leaders worried about discoveries contradicting established doctrine.Historical significance: The microscope fundamentally changed how we understand life and disease, eventually leading to germ theory and modern medicine.

The printing press is an invention that was made by Johannes Gutenberg in the year 1440. It was used for copying papers, before it people had to copy books by hand but with the printing press they could easily, quickly mass copy books. Nowadays it’s still used for many things like books, magazines, newspapers and more. It helped people in many ways, it allowed authors to publish and sell their books easily, it gave more people access to books and information, it allowed people to learn more, it helped with the economy and people could spread their ideas and beliefs easier. There were also people who were negatively affected by it, before the press people used to copy the books by hand but after the press this work wasn’t needed anymore and (some) people in power were also negatively affected since they couldn’t control information as easily and people could question them and their ideas.

The stethoscope was invented in Paris in 1816 by a doctor named Rene Laennec doctors had to put their ear directly on a patient’s chest to hear the heartbeat which was uncomfortable and not very effective and then Laennec came up with the idea of rolling up a piece of paper into a tube so he could listen to the heart more clearly so then he made a better one by building a a wooden version which became the first stethoscope This invention was very important because it helped doctors study the heart and lungs in a safe and scientific way The stethoscope is still used today all over the world making it one of the most important medical tools made and a great tool even till today

By: Fahad AlSayyari, Ryan Alotaibi, Abdulmalik Aljasim, Jad Khaleel, Abed Al Ghanie Pharaon

The Printing Press was made to make books more mass produceable. Before the

printing press, books would have to be copied by hand. This process took a long time and is

prone to error. The printing press solved this issue by making books mass produceable as

instead of writing as it allowed individual pages to be printed quickly, rather than having to

hand-write entire pages. It had a positive impact in the spread of knowledge and scientific

progress as it allowed information to be widely available and be shared quickly. However,

because of it also allowed misinformation to be spread much more quickly as well. The

printing was invented in Mainz, Germany
