(2) Many of these words are seen and heard everyday within third graders' lives. For instance, "again," "opposite," "schedule," and "volunteer" are commonly used words at this age. Students who struggle to spell these words will find it helpful to have them on a Word Wall.

(2) I specifically included a video from ABC Mouse for each letter of the alphabet to be used as a guide. The videos will be used as a reminder of letter sounds and words the letters can be used in. Also,

(3) The videos will be shown to ELL students who are continuing to learn English to teach them each letter.

(4) The Word Wall will allow the class to study certain spelling rules and compare them within similar words. For instance, the vowel team of double e can be seen in words "volunteer" and "queen," and can serve similar purposes. Having these on a wall can serve as a visual reminder of such rules.

(5) The digital Word Wall can be taken anywhere, and should be used as such. When students take home homework or need to work virtually for any given reason, the digital version will be accessible anywhere and any time.

(2) Do involve students in the creation of the Word Wall so they can engage and learn each word.

(3) Do include visuals or pictures to the Word Wall. This allows for both English-speaking and ELL students to make connections.

(4) Don't let the Word Wall become static or passive. Use it as a tool that engages and helps students regularly.

(5) Don't overcrowd the Word Wall so that it becomes overwhelming or hard to navigate.
