It talks about ways to make sure everyone feels included, that their voice matters, and how mixing office and home work can really help. They even share real examples of companies that changed the way they communicate so teamwork is fair, clear, and easy for folks from different countries to succeed together.

McKinsey says that when people work from all over the world, it’s easy for some folks to feel left out — so companies need to make sure everyone feels included and respected. They talk a lot about communication norms, which is just a fancy way of saying, “let’s all agree on how we talk to each other, so no one gets left behind.”

They also explain how hybrid work — mixing office days and working from home — can actually help teams be more productive if leaders are thoughtful about it. The article highlights that bosses should build trust, listen carefully, and check in often, so employees feel like they belong no matter where they are. And I love this part: they share real examples of companies that changed the way they run meetings, share updates, and collaborate so that teamwork feels fair, clear, and friendly for everyone.
