Usually this means that the trees are permanently gone.
Deforestation is clearing the earths forests on a massive scale often resulting in damage to the quality of the land.  At the current rate the world's rain forests could completely vanish in a hundred years.

(Greed and money). Usually the trees are destroyed to build shopping malls and social buildings. I know for a fact that I would rather go and get fresh air and enjoy our beautiful environment then go to the mall. People take the environment for granted but once it's gone it will be very difficult to get it back.

Plant a tree; when you are planting a tree even if just one tree this helps a whole lot. 2.)Go Paperless; 
This would be hard considering we use paper everyday in school and business and just everything but effort is what counts.
3.) Recycle & buy recycled products
4.)look for forest stewardship council
