The Narrator - Calls the little seamstress pretty and maybe he has a crush on her as well.  The narrator as become less stage fright and before couldn't tell a story on his own now he can present he story by himself but still not as good as Luo.  Because there are less people and Luo wasn't there to take over the show and the L.S. was there and maybe he tried to impress her by telling the story.

When they get to the really narrow part The narrator sees a raven with a red beak and starts to get dizzy and thinks about what the other author would do in his situation. the narrator has a nightmare wherein the Little Seamstress falls from the ridge while walking with Luo. The next morning, he begs Luo to warn her, and Luo agrees.

Narrator - The Narrator had the pleasure to use the sewing machine to fix the headsman's tooth and he slowed in down to make him feel the most pain.  The Narrators storytelling is superior to Luos.  The Headman finds out the the narrator is telling stories and he is scared about the torturing and wonders if he will even survive.

Luo -  He sees Little Seamstress's change as his doing and he is still treating he like a object. Was drunk and burning the books. Could've burned the books because they could of blamed it on that and resent the books for that

Narrator - Feels betrayed that the L.S left. There was no chance of stopping her, felt like it was a lot like the dream. Basically, as if she is dead to them.
