Suggest to do a mental rehearsal with Joe: step-by-step consult with him so that he can also identify the issues he is facing and how he can possibly tackle them. (<strong>Mentally rehearse scripts</strong>)<br>- Teacher can explore teaming up with Joe's other subject teachers and ask for assistance/find out more about similar cases and how certain methods may have worked in the past (<strong>willing to ask for help</strong>) <br>- Engage Joe's peers who may be academically stronger to help him instead of only relying on the adults<br>- Teacher can try different ways to motivate Joe to press on (words of encouragement, little gifts, cards etc.)</div>]]></description>
