Sometimes, countries shift from growing food for local consumption to growing food for export. How might this benefit or harm the ecosystem? And country? Why do you think so?

I think this harms the Savanna because if the locals are the only people eating the food its okay. But if multiple countries want the food that was being used by a handful of locals there is a problem. If the savanna only has 100 baobab trees and 10 different companies use the trees there will be 10 trees per company but if a few more companies start using the trees there won't be enough trees for each company.

I think it benefits the countries because if they have enough resources for export they can make a lot of money from selling it. Especially poor countries such as The Democratic Republic of Congo. Something that could benefit the country more is if they trade with a country that has some resources that the country they don't have. The Congo's biggest trading partner which is South Africa. South Africa is rich in minerals such as diamonds and the Congo is rich in fuel so they could trade and get more resources that they are rich in.
