      <description>For nearly three decades, Wayne Macfadden, MD, has been working as a Clinical Psychiatrist and Researcher in pharmaceutical companies. Trained in General Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry, Wayne Macfadden MD has held positions as Staff Psychiatrist and Chief of the Dual Diagnosis Unit for the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Psychiatrist and Principal Investigator at Global Medical Institute. 

These roles provided tremendous experience in treating various psychiatric disorders and developing novel treatments and medications for psychiatric patients. Dr. Macfadden relies on this knowledge, along with his formal education from SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania to serve as Psychiatrist at the Spirit Lake Indian Tribe in North Dakota. He is also President and co-owner of International Psychiatric Services.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Wayne Macfadden has participated in numerous pharmaceutical clinical trials as an Principal Investigator and co-Investigator. These trials have been sponsored by both the government and pharmaceutical industry and included drugs for such conditions as Alzheimer’s disease, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Schizophrenia. Dr. Macfadden has also contributed to nearly 30 publications about numerous psychiatric conditions, including Neurodegenerative Diseases and Bipolar Disorder. He has given many presentations about Psychiatric research studies around the world.</description>
