B Quintanilla and Suzette Quintanilla is her sister. Selena's father Abraham loved music he was in a band called Los Dinos in the 60's, he then found out that Selena had a talent for singing. Abraham then decided to create a family band called Selena y Los Dinos, Selena was the lead singer, A.B was the lead guitarist and Suzette was the drummer. Selena y Los Dinos played weddings, street corners, fairs, Events, and Quinceañeras. Abraham then opened his own restaurant called Papa Gayos and built a stage for the family band can perform there. She then married her lead guitarist Chris Perez on April 2nd 1993 that same year she won a Grammy for "Best Mexican-American Album" for her album Live, that was her first and last Grammy.
