         <title>I wonder why this isn&#39;t a top priority for our district.  A large percentage of the SPED population is becoming GT students with an emotional disturbance.  They are lacking in EF skills and need to be taught coping skills.  If this were a priority in the district maybe we would not have as many GT students identified SPED.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Many kids in my district struggle in the jump from elementary to intermediate school. They struggle with executive functioning (organization, time management, planning, etc..) I personally plan to change the day when I do my 4th/5th GT pullout classes and move them to Mondays next year. I am going to use a WAAG with the students and help them learn how to organize their week and prioritize their work. Hopefully this will ease the transition and give them some tools in their toolbox. </div>]]></description>
