We did this shoot in the studio whilst shooting in black and white and tried to emulate the works of Robert Mapplethorpe, using one-point lighting we took pictures in different angles with creative light positionings to recreate his works. We intended to take pictures with an abstract feel to it which will have the viewers to have second thoughts on which part of the body we used in the picture, I believe that we achieved this especially in Picture 2 where it looks like a landscape at first view hence it really is a picture of someones back parallel to his arms. 

The successes in this picture is we plan to create harsh shadows and strong white images. On the contrary if there are streghths there are also weaknesses, one of it was we had a hard time finding the right angle for the light to cast a shadow to make a really good picture, we coud have avoided this problem if we planned the position of the light better and earlier.
