The main purpose of this revisit was to take another look at the original song by Ben E. King, and more particularly reproduce it with another style.
Sarah Menescal toys with the song by adding new instruments and changing the rhythm for a bossa nova version.
The result is definitely a tribute to Ben E. King.
She does not convey a new message by revising the lyrics.
Both versions have a soothing effect, but Sarah Menescal's version gives an even smoother approach with a brand new musical aesthetics.
Finally, the feminine touch contrasts nicely with Ben E. King's voice.

Love story by Taylor Swift is an upbeat song about a love story between Romeo and Juliet, however, Sarah Cothran decided to make a more dramatic and tragic interpretation of this song to draw attention on the sadness in the relationship between Romeo and Juliet.

The lyrics are the same, but Sarah Cothran sings in a minor key, it ads a really pleasant twist to some of the lyrics like "Little did I know..." or "I was begging you please don't go" and even "this love is difficult but it's real".

The message this cover conveys is a reminder and a tribute to the relationship of Romeo and Juliet and its sad and depressing ending .

I prefer the cover because, to me, it represents well the burning passion in the relationship while showing the hurt souls after this forbidden love. The original version seems really childish to me and doesn't make me feel anything in particular. It's just another love song.

"As the world caves in" was originally produced by Matt Maltese. The tone of the original take is a mix of sadness sprinkled with a humoristic tone. The singer is not too worried about the world ending, and is taking it as if "It was meant to happen" while enjoying his last moments with his partner. It is only near the end that he realises what is truly happening.

Sarah Cothran's approach contrasts the original song by interpreting all the sadness that can be caused by the loss of a loved one. The bridge leading to the chorus shows how bottled up emotions can explode into an immense pain. Not only that, but by singing in a higher tone, Cothran brings a more feminine take, contrasting well with Matt Maltese's version.

Rapper Coolio samples Stevie Wonder's "Pastime Paradise" instrumental but also uses some of his lyrics and flow as well. He revists this song while also drawing attention to a "gangsta's" hard life. He does this by describing it in good way, but in a way that seems like he forgot the life that he is truly living as Coolio toys with a line from the bible (Psalm 23:4: ) "As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death" but then comes back to reality as he says "I take a look at my life and realize there's nothin' left." Here and troughout the song he mentions that he has nothing to lose and how hard it is to be a gangsta.

Bad habits by the boysband Our last night is an updated version of Bad habits by Ed Sheeran. First of all, they made it in trio, that makes it more dynamic and that changes completely the style of the song. They revist the rythm a little bit too, to make their own version. They added instruments like the drums or the electric guitar so that sounds totally different from the original but easily recognizable all the same.

Personally I prefer the original as I like the singer's voice better and the fact that the band screams to sing at certain moments is a bit extreme even if it is an interesting reinterpretation.

They don't convey any new message in particular, they keep the one in the lyrics.

The first lyric is a reproduction of the second song. The music of the Cyndi Lauper is more calm, compelling and moving whereas the song of lord remix is more energetic, cheerful and made for parties. The remix is faster than the original . The remix pay tribute to the singer and my interpretation is that it wants to convey the message of thinking about her while having fun. My first print is that the original was too soft and too flat but now i really like it and especially what it says in the lyrics.

With nearly identical lyrics, Michael Bublé's rendition of "Feeling Good" evokes positivity and euphoria, while Nina Simone's depicts a bluesy strength. They both speak of elements of nature. Bublé sings of the birds, the sun, the fish and the river that know "how he feels," as well as the dragonfly and the butterflies that know "what he means."

Nina Simone, on the other hand, uses it in a different way. The racist context of the time that sparked the civil rights movement in the United States justifies Simone's broken tone. Her sadness contrasts sharply with Bublé's zeal. Her heartbreaking voice shows that nature knows and sympathizes with her problems.

I have a hard time choosing between the two versions because they both offer different and interesting variations. Michael Bublé's song puts me in a great mood while Nina Simone's song puts me more in a melancholic sadness.

Compered with to "Without Me" of Eminem , he can see a men who sits with a guitare and a white backgrounds . The secondly version is a acoustic remix whereas official version . love this music because it sends a powerful message to many people who have discredited him, such as 🤬 Cheney and his wife Lynne Cheney, but I also love it because the flow of the lyrics and the instrumental can move you even when you are sad. The revisit can be seen as a tribute to Eminem's masterpieces and talent. To be critical, I didn't like the revisit because I don't like the acoustic version because I think it lacks something compared to the original version.

Jimi Hendrix is a guitarist who reproduce at a festival the national anthem of USA in 1969 to convey a message at the gouvernement to stop the war in Vietnam: that's the main purpose of this reproduction. In the Jimi Hendrix's version, nothing is singing and all is play with a guitar.

In the original version, the song look more calm than the reproduction: we can suppose that is a way for Jimi Hendrix to get out the message better and draw attention of his opinion. I think that i can't choose which of the two I prefer because they both have a different meaning: the original is a symbol of USA and the reproduction is a way to exprime that somes americains were not agree with the war.

The original song wrote by the Cramberrys is to pay hommage to two boys Jonathan Ball and Tim Parry. There were killed by the Provisional Irish Republican Army in a shopping center. In 2018, the band Bad Wolves revisit this song to pay tribute two the principal singer, Dolores O'Riordan, who died the 15 january 2018.
the both versions convey the message of paying tribute to someone, there lyrics are powerfull and very compelling. But there are also some difference, the original song has a music with more power while the revisting song is more soft and calm, the battery is gone there is only the piano and violins. I prefer the second one because the sensitivity is more present with a calm music than the original.

Come as you are, by Nirvana, written by Kurt Cobain and released on 24 February 1992, is a song full of contradictions about how we act versus what we think, the text is quite ironic.
Adam's Song, by Nirvana and released on 5 September 2000, tells the sad story of a fan who feels bad about himself. The lyrics are partly taken from an email received from a fan, so you could say that they pay tribute to him.

The lyrics are not the same in both songs, however, "I took my time, I rushed The choice was mine. I didn't think hard enough", which is a passage from Adam's Song, refers to a passage from Come as you are "Take your time, hurry. The choice is yours, don't be late". I think that's one of the only things they have in common, they also use pretty much the same instruments, however, in the "Adam's Song" version, there's the extra piano. In the more modern version, the rhythm is faster, I think it's also a bit more aggressive than the "old" one.

Both songs are good but I prefer the second one, Adam's Song, because I think it conveys a message and draws attention, the lyrics highlight teenage depression and suicide. Also, thanks to this rewriting, many teenagers who had suicidal tendencies have reconsidered and rethought their lives because of this song. The lyrics are compelling and powerful. Finally, Adam's Song is not a copy of Come as you are, its just a denouncing and, from my point of view, this is a good point.

This iconic song of the Rock band, survivor, was released for the movie Rocky, was a great success, and was revisited in 2015 by Tommee Profitt, changed everything about this music by changing the rhythm at the beginning with a tempo unlike the original where we immediately enter rock. After the modern author has loosely changed tempo with more speed and with sounds produced by new instruments such as dj tables.

The music "God Save The Queen" is the national anthem of the United Kingdom, but it has been revisited by Sex pistols in 1977. For me it's a good idea to have revisited a national anthem to make a rock version.

But the lyrics of this version are very provocative. The real message of the rock band is to criticise the gouvernment.

To me this music talk about a breakup. The singer is one of the person of the couple and he’s singing how it hurts him. I like more the new version because it’s more slowly and the music correspond better with the lyrics. Because yes the lyrics are very powerful and personal so it conveys a message for the other person. The original version seems more happy and relax but the rewriting take another look about the emotions. It provokes a more sad situation and more difficult than skinny love original. But of course both are beautiful and compelling !

In these two musics, the first of bob Marley and the second of Bobby mcferrin which is the original,
we can observe a vocal difference because the two singers do not have the same timbre of voice, that of bob marley is more serious but also in the rhythm because they use a different one, they did not use the same instruments
(some yes).
However, I find it interesting to reuse the songs already composed to pay tribute to the person or to return him to our image.

The main purpose of this cover was to reproduce in an other way take the original song in order to take an other look.

Bad by mickael jackson is an rythmical song about a young man from a poor, seedy part of New York City who returns from his private school. He finds his friends with whom he did bad things. Then, michael Jackson and his dancers shout several times on a rhythmic tune "Who's Bad?", to prove to the rival gang that they are cool guys without being delinquents.

As for billie eillish who covered this song, she prefered to make a piano-voice which totally changes the aspect of the original song.

Personally I find both versions interesting. The version of billie eillish gives shivers because of her very special voice and the piano chords. The one of michael jackson is more rhythmic and makes you want to dance.
So sorry for the delay...

Rapper polo g covered Micheal Jackson's smooth criminal music. He kept the medody, the rhythm and the instruments but he modified the lyrics so that it could stick to his style and appeal to his audience.
