The man and the son are fighting to survive in a world after the collapse of society and modern life. <br><br>Another prevalent example is the Unbalanced Hero. The man is suffering from the emotional and physical withdrawals of surviving against all odds.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In <em>The Road</em>, there are many journeys that fit several archetypes, these include: The Quest for identity, the journey to reach the promised land, the warriors journey to save his people, and the tragic quest.<br><br>The quest for identity lies in the man trying to teach the boy how to survive and remain sane in this cruel world. The journey to reach the promised land is the overarching main journey in which the man and the boy are trying to continue South. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A variety of situations arise in&nbsp;<em>The Road</em>, each leading to a different archetype. The most common of these situations are, The quest, task, and journey and the Battle between Good and Evil alongside The Unhealable Wound.<br><br>The Quest, task, and journey in <em>The Road</em> all revolve around trying to survive and move South until eventually being able to rebuild.<br><br>The Battle between Good and Evil comes directly from the Unhealable Wound. The Man's battle to help the boy remain sane in such trying times as an apocalypse fits perfectly within the situation of most, if not all of,&nbsp;<em>The Road.</em></div>]]></description>
