Bilden Schüler/innen und Lehrer/innen im privaten Bereich Gruppen in sozialen Medien, z. B. WhatsApp-Gruppen, sind sie selbst für die Beachtung des Datenschutzes verantwortlich. Wie jeder andere dürfen sie keine nicht allgemein bekannten Daten von Personen austauschen, die nicht Teil der Gruppe sind. Gleiches gilt für Daten, die einem Mitglied von einem anderen unter dem Siegel der Verschwiegenheit anvertraut wurden. Auch hier bringt die DSGVO keine Veränderungen.
